【Fundraising For The New Headquarters of Than Hsiang Mitra Welfare Center-KL】

In 1993, Venerable Wei Wu's Dharma sharing, titled “Passing on Love” marked the genesis of the Than Hsiang Mitra Welfare Center-KL. Over the past 30 years, it has brought together numerous dedicated and compassionate volunteers, providing free counseling, social support and educational services to vulnerable communities. Without a dedicated building, our service center and activity venues moved from Tham Wah Wan temple on Old Klang Road to Wan Ching Yuen, PJ, then to a leased unit in SS2, and finally, a return to our origin, Tham Wah Wan temple. With the passage of time, the volume of cases and number of volunteers has steadily increased, and the current facilities are no longer sufficient to meet the growing demand. In our quest to expand our service reach and benefit more individuals in need, and to provide a secure operational hub for our volunteers, fortuitous circumstances led us to the current new location.
