According to 2022 statistics, population over 65 years old in Malaysia has increased from 7.0% in 2021 to 7.3%. The World Bank predicts that by 2044, 14% of the country's population will be over 65 years old, making Malaysia an aging society with one elderly person for every seven individuals.

As people age, their bodies and brains deteriorate, which could lead to dementia. The most common types of dementia is Alzheimer's disease. According to the World Health Organization report, by 2050, 453,900 people in Malaysia will be suffering from dementia, of whom some will require long-term care as they lose their ability to care for themselves.

Aging is a natural life process and an important topic for us to learn and take note of. We hope to raise awareness in society about the importance of being understanding, tolerant, and patient with the elderly. It's never too late for elderly to learn and improve themselves, and we believe that with a series of activities, the elderly can continue to learn, explore new horizon, change their mindset, and embrace life.
