Filial Piety Dharma Assembly Notice

As the Lunar Seventh Month, a period dedicated to filial piety and gratitude, approaches, our centre will be holding a Filial Piety Dharma Assembly from 24 to 30 August 2026.

We sincerely invite all devotees and members of the public to participate. Several venerable Dharma masters will lead the congregation in sutra recitation, prostrations, and collective cultivation, allowing us to accumulate merits and blessings together.

From 24 to 29 August 2026, the Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva Fundamental Vows Sutra (Kṣitigarbha Sutra) will be recited each evening. Through the compassionate vows and boundless spiritual power of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva, we pray that all beings throughout the Dharma Realm may be freed from suffering, overcome karmic obstacles, increase in blessings and wisdom, and swiftly attain Enlightenment.

On the morning of 30 August 2026, a collective practice of the Amitabha Sutra and a Grand Offering to the Buddha will be conducted. This will be followed by the Three Sessions of Mindfulness of Amitabha Buddha (San Shi Xi Nian) ceremony, dedicating its profound merits and blessings to all sentient beings.

Throughout the Dharma Assembly, a Pure Land Memorial Altar will be established to honour departed ancestors and family members. Special dedication will also be made for all wandering and unclaimed spirits throughout the Dharma Realm, praying that they may receive the Buddha's guidance, be reborn in the Pure Land, and be liberated from suffering.

In addition, a Medicine Buddha Altar will be set up, where lamps will be offered before the Buddha to cultivate merits and virtues. Prayers will be made for national prosperity, social harmony, favourable weather, and world peace. Devotees and their families are also warmly welcome to sponsor blessing lamps, praying for good health, family harmony, success in their endeavours, and the growth of blessings and wisdom.

May the merits generated from this Dharma Assembly be dedicated to all sentient beings throughout the Dharma Realm. May all beings be freed from suffering, attain happiness, and swiftly realise Enlightenment. May the Buddha Dharma flourish perpetually, bringing immeasurable benefit to all.
